Father’s Day stirs different emotions for different people, but on this day I can’t help but smile when I think of little kids talking about how their Dad is better than anyone else’s Dad. Hearing them say “But my Dad built me the biggest treehouse ever” then “but my Dad is so strong, he carries all the grocery bags by himself” or ” But my Dad catches the biggest fish ever”
The commonality is that many of us can relate to the above, where Dad did something so significant, that no one else’s Dad could possibly achieve, being the Superhero’s in our lives, protecting us from all the monsters in the world.
In my family this day would be celebrated with us all around the table sharing my Dad’s favourite meal, but with lockdown still restricting inter-provincial travel and social gathering, we celebrate this day apart but with a heart filled with gratitude.
This post is a tribute to ALL the Fathers I know, the Fathers-to-be, Furkid Dads and to the Dad’s that found themselves infront of my camera, most much against their will 🙂 but for the love of their family, they smiled and embraced moments captured together.
Not all are featured in this post but this is just a message to say “Thank You” for being the Superhero’s, for showing us that is ok to be scared but by being strong and courageous, we can take on whatever comes our way.
