A wish of mine was to experience a wedding in Zimbabwe and before I knew it, I met with Tsitsi and was booked to capture their magical day next to Lake Manyame, in Darwendale in Zimbabwe.
I love exploring new countries, new cultures and so visiting Zimbabwe was awesome. Tsitsi’s brothers collected us from Harare airport and with a 3 hour drive to the lodge(perhaps we got lost for about 2 hours lol) good conversation was had.
Tonderai and Tsitsi met way back around 2000 but Tsitsi knew it was love when they spent 4 full days together after she returned from studying in Canada in June 2011.
Tsitsi describes Tonderai as caring and genuine with so much love to share and a man she knows she can depend on. Tonderai says that he admires her sincerity and truthfulness and that she always his best interest at heart.
The Kadhani’s believe that the continuous communication and understanding each other’s expectations has created a secure platform for their relationship supported by the appreciation of being good for each other and complimenting each other even with their differences.
Advise that Tonderai & Tsisti can give couples planning their weddings: “ Do what works for you, not for other people, make sure you enjoy every moment and be involved from the beginning, make all the major decisions and then let it go”
With music and dance being the theme of the day, the ever so cool retinue prepared two dances routines for their wedding guests, this set the mood for the reception where nothing but laughter and dancing carried this wedding late into the evening.
Tonderai & Tsitsi,
Whenever I hear the song “Drunk in Love” by Beyonce, I automatically think of your wedding day and my heart fills with happiness. With this song being sung by the men during the day, this show cased the bond you all have as true friends.
I want to thank you for giving me such precious moments to capture, to experience your homeland and all its beauty and for trusting me with these memories. Because of you, I will be visiting your country once again in December 🙂
The term “Wingman” seems appropriate seeing as we flew to Zimbabwe and as always, you were right there beside me getting the moments I couldn’t, which I so very much appreciate.

A few words from Tonderai & Tsitsi about Anabela Lourenco Photography
I searched and searched and searched for a good photographer. I wasn’t fussy about a lot of details for the wedding, but ensuring that the photos taken told a story was vital for us. That’s why we didn’t need a videographer, I was confident that whoever we decided on would be perfect, and that’s what Anabela and Tim were! Just perfect! After going through previous work they had done,I knew I’d found my person :-). Anabela’s photos are so clean and you feel as if you are at the weddings with the special details that are captured. Only 1 brief meeting and then the wedding and yet all our expectations were met, mine especially. Our photo session was a little rushed but the end result was AMAZING! Thank you so much to you both, you gelled so well with Tonde and I and we are forever grateful to you for capturing our special day. Our families also thank you, they are extremely pleased with your level of professionalism and the magic that you managed to capture. We will have these photos for life and there is no one else in the world that we would’ve worked with. We hope to see you in Zim soon!
